Privacy Policy
Play Aprende makes free songs and stories for young children. Here is what we collect, and what we don’t.
At a glance
- No accounts. No ads. You can listen, read along, build playlists and download without giving us anything.
- We don’t collect information from children. Play Aprende is for parents and caregivers; kids are never asked for personal information.
- Your email is always optional: only if you join our updates or want a reply to an idea. Ask us to delete it at any time.
- Favorites and saved playlists stay on your device. We can’t see them.
- We never sell or share your information for advertising, and we don’t build profiles.
- Privacy-friendly statistics: we count visits and plays in aggregate, without advertising trackers.
1. Who we are
Play Aprende (“we”, “us”) is a small, family-run project. Email us at listenplayaprende@gmail.com.
2. What we collect, and why
Nothing is needed to listen, read or download. We only receive what you choose to send us, plus basic technical data every website receives.

To prevent spam, our forms keep a one-way scrambled code (a hash) made from your IP address: for email signups it is made with the hour and deleted after two hours; for ideas it is made with the date and kept with your message, so we can limit repeated submissions. We don’t store your raw IP address with your email or message.
We do not sell your information, use it for advertising, or combine it to build a profile of you or your child.
3. Children’s privacy
Play Aprende is for parents and caregivers. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. The audio is for young children, but there are no accounts, chat or profiles, and forms that take an email are for adults only. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, email listenplayaprende@gmail.com and we’ll delete it promptly.
4. Services that help us run the site
Each one gets only what it needs for its job.

Spotify and Amazon are links only: nothing loads from them until you click. Our fonts are hosted on our own site. Play Aprende is independent and isn’t made by Yoto.
5. Our emails
Signing up adds you to our monthly updates. Every email we send will include a way to unsubscribe, which takes effect right away. Before we send the first email, we’ll add the email service we use to the list above.
6. Cookies and storage on your device
We don’t use advertising or tracking cookies. Some choices are kept in your own browser so the site works smoothly. We can’t see any of them.
- Until you close the tab (session storage): your playlist-builder draft and the card covers you’re designing, filter and language choices on the music, stories, card-cover and activities pages, and, if you use Send to Yoto, the temporary Yoto sign-in key and how far a send got (so it can pick up where it stopped).
- Until you clear them (local storage): your favorites, the tracks you played recently, playlists you save on this device, the labels you add to your print sheet, and a note of which playlists you already sent to Yoto. “Clear” and “Delete” in the site remove them, as does clearing your browser’s site data.
A playlist link you share contains only the list of tracks, never your playlist’s name.
7. How long we keep information
- Email signups: until you ask us to delete your email.
- Shared ideas: until you ask us to delete them.
- Spam-prevention codes: two hours for email signups; kept with the idea for shared ideas.
- Things saved on your device: as long as you keep them (see section 6).
8. Your choices and rights
You can ask us at any time to see, correct or delete what we hold about you, or to stop emailing you: just email listenplayaprende@gmail.com. We’ll reply within 30 days. Parents and caregivers can ask us to review or delete any information about their child. We don’t sell or share personal information, or use it for targeted advertising.
9. Security and where data is stored
We use established providers, data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS), and only the site owner can reach stored data. Our providers may process information in the United States.
10. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we’ll update the date at the top. Important changes will also be emailed to subscribers before they take effect.
